LYON - Jean-Luc Melenchon founder the Left Party and ex-socialist, proposed on Sunday in Clermont-Ferrand, "a union of all the left of the left for the next three elections," so as not to let "the Socialist Party and its primaries to all the political and media space. "
"Our proposal is holistic: a 3-pack 3-year elections - regional, presidential, legislative," said Mélenchon told AFP at the end of the summer days of the Left Party, stating that union was open to the Communists, the NPA Olivier Besancenot and workers' struggles.
"The combination of the three elections is not a condition beforehand, but we are available for such an alliance because we think it is easier to agree on binding elections, "he added.
" I feel that the muscles are a bit cold in September, "said Mr. Mélenchon, questioned the feasibility of such a union.
" But I should be understood positively, "he added, noting that the PCF had wanted to extend the alliance beyond European elections.
"If we do nothing and allowed the Socialist Party and its primaries to all political and media space, we can only blame ourselves," he adds, condemning firmly rapprochement between the Socialists and the Centre.
"This is a confounding Total: Bayrou has never said or thought or wrote he would support the left, and it will not take that the Social Democrats are surprised that voters end up preferring the original to the copy "by voting Bayrou, said Mélenchon.
"This type of coalition has always ended in disaster for the left and the most disastrous example is that of Italy, where after the primaries and alliances, there is not a single elected Left in parliament. " Mr.
Mélenchon also drew politicians from left to mobilize for the "referendum" on the Post, Oct. 3, by organizing the consultation, particularly in town halls.
The National Committee against the privatization of La Poste has launched a campaign in July for a national consultation on October 3, inviting the French to decide on change of status to a public limited company with public capital.
Summer days left, dubbed "Brainstorm", took place from Friday to Sunday in Clermont-Ferrand.
